Grant is the Sale Manager at The Piano Place. Grant has been a piano performer and accompanist for over 30 years. He started his career in Detroit with Grinnell Brothers Piano and went on to own his own store. Grant has had the experience of servicing and working with most of the major venues in and around Detroit. Grant has completed post graduate studies in music, and he has also taught piano for many years during his career, including teaching at the Ropper School. Grant‘s extensive background in both music and the piano’s inner working help him find the best piano for the customer’s needs.
Ms. Judy offers piano lessons at The Piano Place for both children and adults. Her involvement in music started when she was five years old and performed as a accompanist on the piano. She continued this work throughout her career and accompanied performers in local and sate level events including church. She has also used music as a developmental tool with disabled children. Judy has over 20 years of piano study and continues her professional development through various forums. Judy takes a strong, holistic approach with her students. Her goal is to provide a strong music foundation for the piano student including theory and intervallic reading while at the same time ensuring proper posture, breathing and muscle endurance.
Ed moves and delivers piano for The Piano Place. He is the owner of Keyboard Express piano moving company. Ed has been moving pianos since 1978. His integrity, customer focus, and attention to detail has earned him the opportunity to move pianos for musicians and music personnel such as Vladimir Horowitz, Bob Seger, Aretha Franklin, Antia Baker, Tony Bennett, Franz Mohr and Henry Steinway. Venues which Ed has worked with include Orchestra Hall, COBO, Ford Auditorium, Hart Plaza, DTE and The Palace.
